Takes 2 to clap

Went to checkout the Parenthood Fair on Friday but found that there's nothing much. Only bought a blue cupcake dress for baby Kara.

On Sunday, I'm back there again (this time round with Gerald) and we bought a lot more stuffs. Sigh, what did parenthood do to us??!!

Bringing joy to our lives

Barely 3 months into parenthood & we are definitely LOVING it! Absolutely luv our Baby Kara. No doubt we have made sacrifices e.g. less sleep, limited travel, gotta eat faster, etc but we definitely gained a whole lot more. Baby Kara often smiles often usually during her playtime after a feed & it never fails to keep us excited.. melting our hearts.
Started compiling videos we have taken over the past weeks. Wanna make sure I compile a video every month (maybe difficult especially after my maternity leave), I hope I perserve. She's growing too fast the special moments captured are priceless.

Crazy Sitex

Was meeting J for lunch at T3 & since she's at Sitex, decided to pop by to renew my Starhub contract.

Inflexible Starhub staff insist I either LEAVE Baby Kara at the front while I join the queue OR join the super narrow queue tog with Baby Kara in the stroller.. Of course I chose the latter. Don't wanna risk losing my precious Baby Kara.

Baby Kara was getting sleepy & the hall was too noisy so we decided to abort the mission.

Ended up Gerald & I went again on Sunday without Baby Kara. Ended up queuing for > 3 hours. Luckily they gave out more freebies than what we expect.

Feeling down

With the SCM approaching in 2 weeks time, many frens & my Sis who are training for full, half & 10km distance are excited & looking forward to the race day.

I signed up for the half marathon too but think I have to give it a miss. While I have started working out for 2 months, jogging (especially such long distance) is still no good for the womb & pelvis area).

Started jogging from 2005 and actively participating in running events from 2006. I still remember my 1st SCM run was a 10km distance & crossing the finishing line felt so good. From there, I started doing longer distances but it was only in 2009 when my running speed improve due to the 3 times weekly early am road biking.

Got pregnant at the peak of my fitness in end 2009 and after a 10 months break, my stamina & core strength has hit rock bottom. Guess it will take a while to back into shape. I'm ooking forward to bringing Baby Kara to jog & cycle when she's older.

Merry Making with Baby Kara

We're experiencing Parents Syndrome (aka we love our baby Kara & think she's real cute).

Impromptu photo taken at City Square Mall while we're grocery shopping at NTUC yet it's cute enough to make us smile & melt our hearts.

Office, here we come!

Visited the colleagues at Centennial Tower with Baby Kara today.

Wanted to give her milk before leaving home but she was sooo sleepy after today's super early bath at 6am+ that she refused to lift her eyelids.

Here is Baby Kara sleeping quietly at the Townhall. Everyone was impressed that she's sooo quiet.

We visited the office mummy's room & it was sooo nicely equipped with Medela PISA pump (only need to use your own bottles & shields), Avent Sterilizer, Pureen cleanser, cosy armchair & magazines to battle those boring pumping sessions. Looking forward to our move back to CT next year. :)

So much poo leaking from the diaper creating a mess.

Had lunch with colleagues at Waraku & again Baby Kara was so cooperative she could sit in the stroller & entertain herself while I eat. *Lucky me today*

Colleagues were super nice. A loved Baby Kara so much she carried her for ~45mins in office and throughout the walk to Waraku & back while S helped me with the stroller. Almost felt like I've part time nanny help today. :)

Nicest mummy's room so far @ Millennia Walk.

Baby Kara looking happy while shopping at Takashimaya & waiting for Daddy to knock off.

3 change of clothes (was praying hard that she don't dirty this last one), several bf session & Baby Kara survived > 12 hours out with
Mummy. Thankful that I pressed on with latching @ 8th week (instead of bottle feeding EBM), else this could never be possible.

PJs

Baby Kara has really grown a fair bit compared to when she was just a newborn. Now she could don a long comfy cotton pants as PJs rather than just diapers.

As always, she loves to stretch, looking as though she has just passed the finishing line in a race!

Fav Place

Baby Kara & Mummy's favourite place turns out to be Orchard Ion.
There's privacy in the nursing room & it's clean. Most importantly, it's unoccupied all the time (at least at times when we need to use it) and $50 spending entitles us to 2 hours free parking.

Baby Kara is again at Orchard Ion after High Tea with the sept Mummies & Babies while waiting for Daddy to knock off.

Milk Reserve

The first tier of our freezer is fully occupied & I'm happy that I've accumulated 55 packs of EBM for Baby Kara. Hopefully can grow up to 100 packs before my maternity leave ends.

1st Circle Line Ride

Took Baby Kara out for her (and our) first circle line ride to City Hall. It's convenient to change train at Paya Lebar & it wasn't too crowded.

Sometimes taking public transport is easier than driving. :)

Got eat FISH?

Baby Kara was cranky over the weekend.

She wants to be carried all the time..

Wanted to bring her out but was worried she wants to be carried midway so attempted to put her in a carrier. She obviously didn't like it. I wouldn't too..

Realized that my milk supply was low because of no fish intake over the weekend so she's hungry all the time. Baby Kara was back to her smiley face during the week as I up my fish intake.
